Important Gilt Bronze Mounted Jasper Perfume Burner by Henri Dasson

Important gilt bronze mounted jasper perfume burner by Henri Dasson - signed and dated 1877 and made for the Paris Exhibition of 1878.
The original made by Piere Gouthiere circa 1774-5 for the Duc D'Aumont resides in the Wallace Collection London.

The quality of this example with it's superbly chiseled gilt bronze mounts and exquisite lapidary work
to the finest blood red jasper specimen stone, is a fitting homage to the Gouthiere original.
